In a classic case of God knowing best, taking care of the situation, and always working things out for my good, the sweetest lady came along a couple of days later and adopted Ophelia -- right off, without layaway. Yay! Thank you so much God! Thank you so much new mommy! Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and encouragement!
So, Ophelia got lots of good bear advice before packing up.
Such as, always have a doughnut handy.
I cut and curled Eponine's hair and love how unruly it looks. It makes her look a bit of a minx I think.
A good friend of mine said she looked like a little starlet straight out of the 50s. That was really sweet praise :)
The inevitable hood. Eponine is up for adoption now :)
Have a super lovely week everyone!

Yay for Ophelia, and isn't Eponine a darling. (Psst, I like the name Scampi as well, lol.)
Your dolls are so filled with personality. I'm glad that Ophelia went to the second lady, because the first lady would never have appreciated her or treated her right. If you put something on reserve, I think that is a commitment! I rarely do layaways ~ haven't in decades, but I remember my first one. Elvis Presley's Blue Hawaii album, It cost $4.12, and my allowance was only 25 cents/week! It took a while! Have a good one, Jan!
Goodbye to Ophelia. I'm sure she will be a happy little girl in her new home. I love the name Eponine! She certainly look rebellious with her messy hair.
She's adorable! You did such a great job on her hair~ it's just darling!
Yeh, Ophelia has a new mommy ;o) So happy ;o) Yes, I want Eponine to be named Scampi!!! Scampi suits her so much! Just my opinion ;o) She is adorable!! I can't believe the work that goes into these dolls! Never knew anything about the "pulls". Big Hugs ;o)
Congrats on finding a new home for Ophelia! I didn't know the original Blythe didn't have sleep eyes! Eponine is adorable. But it's your doll, you should be able to call her how you like. Scampi is a fun name!
Congratulations on Ophelia. Eponine only one word - superb! Ya, wot a doll {:-)
So happy for you that everything worked out with Ophelia!! I love Eponine's hair. It's perfectly tousled :)

And now there's Eponine! What a cutie. I bet she'll be scooped up in no time. You can't help but love these dolls. (I confess that I like the name Scampi!)
Got your email about the snake and crocodile. Holy Moly!
